It's been a pretty exciting few weeks. Lily had her first birthday. It's hard to imagine that she is a year old. She is quite a sweet little kid. Griff's birthday is next week. He'll get a baseball birthday party. Melissa and I also had our 6th anniversary, so we've got that going for us, which is nice.

Happy birthday Lily! Lily had a successful birthday party. She was pretty wound up for it. Too much attention, I guess. She got all kinds of good stuff and was pretty spoiled. It was a lot of fun.

Lily's ladybug extravaganza. Melissa did a really good job planning everything and pulling it all together. Everyone except for Lily seemed to have a good time.

Just a couple of cute kids at a ladybug party.

Lily with her uncle and cousins. Ladybug fun; at least, that's the general idea. Lily is exercising her party rights.

Lily and her ladybug cake.

Griff got to help Lily eat her cake. He seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. At first he was looking at us like, "Is this a trick? Am I really going to get to put this in my mouth?" By the time he was sure that we didn't have some sort of ulterior motive he was really digging in. It was really funny.

I love this picture because I think I know what she is thinking. "I'd just like to sit and enjoy this cake. Is that too much to ask? Do you honestly think that I need to have my picture taken again?" It's exactly what I would be thinking.

Griff has rediscovered his tongue. He sticks it out all the time. I'm not sure why he does it, but it's kind of funny sometimes.

This is one of their favorite things. It's got a bunch of music toys in it that they like to hit things with. It's pretty fun.

Here's Griff working on one of his toys. I posted this because I think he looks like a plumber or something. Everytime I see it I expect to see his PJs and his diaper sagging down.

Lily got this little baby for her birthday. Clearly, she is very proud of him.

As you can see, she also loves her baby. This is Lily giving the baby a hug. She will hug just about anything small enough that she can bring it up on to her shoulder.
