The year is moving by quickly. The kids are growing and doing great. Lily sits up like a champion and Griff is getting there. They can both roll over now. Griff's teeth are coming in nicely and we're hoping that Lily will hold out a little while longer. They are pretty fun these days. They laugh and smile and play a lot. They are aware of each other and actually find each other interesting from time to time. They even had their first fight the other day. Griff took a toy away from Lily that she was not ready to give up. Unfortunately for her, Griff has an incredibly strong grip. She never had a chance. She was pretty broken up over the whole thing. Luckily Melissa was able to pacify her with a different toy. And so it begins. Of course, a day or two before that Lily took a pretty big toy and dropped it on Griff's face. She claims that it was an accident, but I'm not so sure. You've got to watch out for the cute ones. Melissa and I are doing well. No major surgeries or extended hospital stays to speak of. We're just enjoying watching the kids grow like the dandelions in my front yard.

Griff is quite devious. Above he is the picture of innocence. A boy who would never even consider going against his parents' wishes. Below we see his true nature. He is always sneaking and plotting. I can almost hear him in his best Mr. Burns voice, "Excellent...excellent." (By the way, he is wearing a shirt that belonged to me when I was his age.)

Lilywood loves her sunglasses. She seriously thinks that they make her look so cute and sophisticated. She never even tries to take them off.

He's finally figuring out how to not bite himself. It's a good thing, too, because his teeth are sharp enough to gnaw through leather.

Lily's prepping for her first trip to the park to feed the ducks.

Griff is having a good ol' time. They cause quite a stir in the neighborhood when they go out.

Hittin' the road. The kids have been able to enjoy their Cadillac stroller now that the weather is agreeable.

"I'm lookin' over a four leafed clover that I overlooked before!"

This picture was taken at the end of a long day. Griff was Leprechauned out.

Lily's first St. Patty's Day. We gave her some green formula to celebrate.

I don't think I've even been prouder in my life. It brings a tear of joy to my eye.

Lily enjoys trying new hairstyles.

What could be better than this?

This is my worst nightmare. Griff is obviously on the road to becoming a dentist. See how he's trying to fit all of his fingers in his mouth? That's just the first step. Soon he'll be trying to get them all in Lily's mouth. Then he'll want to get them all in someone's mouth and have a conversation with that person. Once he figures out that he can get paid to do that there will be no stopping him.

She makes this face all the time. I don't know why she does it, but I like it.

Griff is rolling with two teeth now. (The second one is just barely poking out and can't be seen in this picture.)

Lily chews on her binky now, instead of sucking on it. It's pretty weird.

Griff is giving me a warning - "Come any closer and you'll get the elbow."

Heart Breaker

Overalls all around.

They love a little recline time.
